Laser Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Travel to client locations to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve intricate technical issues related to Mitsubishi laser machinery.

• Conduct mechanical and electrical inspections, which include disassembly, reassembly, and system adjustments.

• Offer remote troubleshooting assistance via phone when suitable.

• Engage with customers in a professional manner to clarify issues, timelines, and repair results.

• Analyze and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and block diagrams to facilitate precise diagnosis and repair.

• Keep a detailed and clear record of service activities, findings, and resolutions.

• Complete and submit expense reports accurately and in a timely fashion.

• Ensure that company tools, equipment, and service vehicles are maintained in optimal working condition.

• Carry out additional responsibilities assigned to enhance customer satisfaction and departmental operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with machining, manufacturing processes, or industrial equipment.

• Skilled in the use of common diagnostic and measurement tools, including voltmeters, multimeters, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.

• Competent in using Windows-based computers and service software.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Willingness to work at heights when necessary.

• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.

• Willingness to travel extensively from Monday to Friday.

• An associate degree or technical certification in electronics, mechanics, mechatronics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Proven capability to diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical problems.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting machine manuals, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents.

• Experience with electrical measurement tools (e.g., voltmeter, oscilloscope).

• Familiarity with precision measurement tools (e.g., indicators, micrometers, feeler gauges, etc.).
