This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Visit customers' residences to perform on-site inspections.
• Examine coverage and assess property damage.
• Generate estimates and resolve claims swiftly and efficiently.
• Manage virtual claims nationwide using platforms and software such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration.
• Specialize in water damage losses.
• Deliver compassionate, clear, and empathetic service to policyholders.
• Conduct independent investigations of property claims and interpret policies to ascertain coverage.
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, and video chat.
• Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.
• Utilize estimation tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims.
• Ensure timely and accurate claim documentation while maintaining clear records in the claims system.
• A minimum of 4 years of prior experience as an outside adjuster is highly preferred.
• Experience managing claims that involve multiple trades and losses exceeding $100,000.
• Proficient in using Xactimate and other relevant estimating software.
• Strong critical thinking and technical skills necessary for accurately assessing damages and expediting settlements.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to customers' homes and manage virtual claims nationwide.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized.
• Must reside within the specified location.
• Capability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with a slope of up to 6/12.
• Valid driver's license and a readiness to travel.
• Candidates holding active insurance licenses must terminate existing appointments prior to onboarding and cannot hold outside appointments during employment.
• Applicants with a resident producer license must surrender it when instructed by the licensing team.
• Must be able to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, if necessary.
• Successful completion of any required additional background checks.
• Participation in approximately 2 weeks of training in Dallas, TX.
• A dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions, equipped with appropriate desk and seating.
• Reliable internet with a minimum download speed of 50 MB and upload speed of 5 MB.
• Background investigation required.
• A $1,000 Licensing Sign-On Bonus may be available for applicants with relevant active licenses.
