Large Corrective Exchange Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute major component exchanges (MCE) involving blades, gearboxes, generators, hubs, and other substantial turbine components.

• Support rigging operations, coordinate crane activities, and develop lift plans during component replacements.

• Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly of turbine components in accordance with OEM guidelines.

• Assess components and their supporting structures for any damage or wear during exchanges.

• Adhere to all safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and specific site requirements.

• Accurately complete service documentation and reports for the work conducted.

• Collaborate with site teams, crane operators, and project leaders to ensure safe and efficient exchanges.

• Travel to various wind farms and project sites as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required hands-on experience with Liftra blade exchange systems supporting major component exchanges in the wind industry.

• Must be physically capable of safely climbing wind turbines up to 120m+ (400+ feet), standing, stooping, walking, crawling, crouching, lifting up to 75 lbs., and generally meeting the physical demands of the role.

• Strong experience in torquing and tensioning is essential.

• Significant experience using a grease gun and performing filter changes is necessary.

• A valid and current driver's license with a satisfactory driving record (satisfactory MVR is required).

• Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.

• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

• Certification to operate a crane is preferred.
