Language and Reading Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide engaging and personalized virtual instruction tailored to each student's reading capabilities, literacy objectives, and distinctive learning profile.

• Develop organized lesson plans that concentrate on essential literacy elements (such as phonics, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, or essay writing) ensuring alignment with grade-level standards and student requirements.

• Modify instruction in real-time based on student engagement, decoding difficulties, and comprehension fundamentals to enhance confidence and a passion for reading.

• Monitor student progress and effectively communicate with families and, when relevant, school district partners regarding advancements in reading and language milestones.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• Experience working with students who have educational needs.

• Ability to create and implement lesson plans that align with student objectives and accommodations.

• Strong skills in virtual instruction — proficiency with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and maintaining student engagement online.

• Must be able to pass a background check.

• Must have a reliable computer, internet connection, webcam, and a quiet workspace.

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
