This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.
• In the role of Language AI Solutions Specialist, you will connect traditional localization practices with innovative AI technologies.
• You will oversee the complete lifecycle of translation systems, ranging from legacy Neural MT to contemporary LLM-based solutions.
• Your objective is to design, optimize, and implement high-performance language models that facilitate global scalability while upholding exceptional linguistic quality.
• Hybrid Engine Deployment: Develop, evaluate, and validate Neural MT systems (KantanMT) and customized LLMs for specific client domains.
• Performance Analytics: Provide detailed quality assessments, including Predictive TER scores, MQM-DQF/COMET/G-Eval metrics, and Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) evaluations.
• Production Integration: Collaborate closely with internal teams (Development, Production, etc.) to ensure a smooth transition of validated models into operational environments.
• AI Model Tuning & Optimization: Conduct supervised fine-tuning (SFT) on LLMs to align their outputs with project-specific styles, voices, and terminology.
• RAG Corpus Management: Design and manage high-quality corpora for Retrieval-Augmented Generation, ensuring vector databases are filled with clean, relevant, and deduplicated data.
• Data Engineering: Carry out advanced data analysis, cleansing, and generation to prepare pristine datasets for model training and fine-tuning.
• Output Verification: Leverage native-level linguistic skills to perform thorough audits of NMT and LLM outputs, identifying subtle errors like hallucinations, cultural insensitivity, or tone inconsistency that automated metrics may overlook.
• Linguistic Asset Engineering: Oversee and enhance Translation Memories (TMs) and Termbases to act as the essential "ground truth" for AI training.
• Quality Control: Develop and refine Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) workflows, incorporating AI-assisted quality estimation (QE) to minimize manual effort.
• Analytics & Productivity Insights: Collect and evaluate post-deployment data, emphasizing Edit Distance, time-to-market reduction, and cost-per-word efficiency.
• Stakeholder Reporting: Convert complex technical data into actionable insights for Program Managers and clients, suggesting rebuilds or retraining cycles as needed.
• Operations & Troubleshooting: Act as the escalation point for engine failures, API latency issues, or unexpected model “hallucinations.”
• Process Documentation: Develop "Living Documentation" for evolving AI workflows to ensure team-wide coherence and scalability.
• Proficiency in English and native fluency in any core Asian languages (Chinese, Japanese, or Korean).
• 3-4 years of experience within the localization industry, holding roles such as Project Manager, Translator, Post-Editor, or QA Tester.
• Machine Translation Post Editing: Strong understanding of MTPE, with a proven history of correcting NMT or LLM outputs to achieve fluent, accurate, and brand-consistent target text.
• Degree in Translation, Translation Technology, or relevant experience.
• Analytical aptitude: Capability to comprehend and engage with string-matching and edit metrics (e.g., explaining Edit Distance in a post-editing context, understanding MQM-DQF frameworks, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of CAT tools and CMS/TMS systems within the localization sector.
• AI/LLM applications - familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG corpus management, and understanding of Vector Spaces.
• Basic knowledge of Python and Regex.
• As this position is remote, benefits may vary based on the employing entity and the candidate’s country/state of residence.
• Keywords Studios is dedicated to fair and ethical hiring practices. We expect candidates to approach all applications and interviews with integrity, showcasing their own knowledge and experience. Candidates are encouraged to avoid using AI assistance or third-party tools that could affect the authenticity of the assessment process.
