Laborer, Maintenance Helper

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.

📋 Description

• Conducts a range of preventive and ongoing maintenance tasks necessary for physical structures, commercial or industrial facilities, and related areas.

• Maintains cleanliness of the workspace, tools, and equipment.

• Aids in the repair, maintenance, or installation of electrical and mechanical systems.

• Provides craft personnel with the necessary materials, tools, and supplies.

• Disassembles, transports, assembles, or installs equipment or furnishings.

• Assists in unclogging drains and replacing plumbing fixtures.

• Removes snow, landscaping materials, or other debris.

• Applies paint to surfaces or equipment to prevent corrosion.

• Conducts minor repairs or replacements of interior walls, ceilings, trim, and other building components.

• Moves or delivers various items or materials to designated locations.

• Collects and transports trash and waste to disposal sites.

• Transfers small equipment or tools between different areas.

• Participates in daily safety toolbox meetings and is required to perform job safety evaluations for each task.

• Alerts the supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not adhered to.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Ability to make decisions independently with minimal supervision.

• Capacity to remain on your feet for up to 12 hours per shift during the scheduled rotation.

• Must be able to reside in dormitory-style accommodations and uphold cleanliness standards of the remote camp.

• Employees are required to speak, understand, read, and write in English.
