Laboratory Field Ops Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Travel approximately 80% of the time each week to client locations to assist with laboratory startups.

• Install equipment, conduct validations, and train laboratory staff.

• Resolve technical issues as they arise.

• Provide guidance on laboratory workflows, layouts, and equipment selection.

• Work in conjunction with Quality and Operations leaders to execute corrective and preventive actions.

• Generate reports as needed.

• Keep quality control charts up to date.

• Create and validate laboratory documentation.

• Aid in compliance documentation, training, and process enhancement initiatives.

• When not traveling, help with data verification, reporting, and consultations with clients and teams.

• Support the temporary startup assignment until approximately mid-October, with a potential extension based on business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or Medical Laboratory Sciences.

• At least 3 years of experience in a high-complexity laboratory setting.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in LCMS data analysis.

• Practical experience with LCMS platforms such as ABSciex, Agilent, and Shimadzu.

• Familiarity with clinical analyzers like AU, Indiko, or similar devices.

• Proficient in training technologists and mentoring laboratory personnel.

• Reside near a national airport, ideally in the Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX regions.

• Preferred: Experience in LCMS method development and troubleshooting.

• Preferred: Knowledge in infectious disease testing utilizing rtPCR platforms such as QuantStudio and QIAquant.

• Preferred: Proficiency in statistical analysis using EP Evaluator or spreadsheets.

• Preferred: National certification (NRCC, MLS(ASCP), MB(ASCP)).

• Must be willing to travel approximately 80% of the time each week to client sites.
