This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Accountable for upholding sanitation standards within a commercial kitchen.
• Engages in a variety of duties including cleaning, maintenance, food preparation, stocking, and serving.
• Aids cooks and coordinates activities within the food service area.
• Ensures various products are maintained at appropriate levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas.
• Supplies different food service areas with necessary products and materials.
• Responsible for cleaning dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Cleans general dining, kitchen, and storage spaces.
• Assists with extensive cleaning projects.
• Disposes of waste from designated areas.
• Sets up, breaks down, and cleans tables and serving lines.
• May be involved in food preparation or cooking vegetables, entrees, etc.
• Alerts the supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being adhered to.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a commercial kitchen or equivalent documented vocational training.
• Required to possess or obtain an Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire.
• Must fulfill all pre-employment contract requirements.
• Ability to collaborate and function effectively as part of a team is essential.
• Capable of making decisions in real-time with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to stand for 12 hours during shifts.
• Should be comfortable living in dormitory-style accommodations.
• Contract stipulates that employees must be able to speak, understand, read, and write in English.
• Must comply with all safety guidelines and regulations.
