Kitchen Equipment Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Work in partnership with restaurant and hospitality managers to provide comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialized food service equipment.

• Utilize diagrams and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment.

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair on commercial kitchen equipment, which includes cooking, refrigeration, and ware-washing appliances.

• Liaise with manufacturers for parts identification and obtain technical assistance when necessary.

• Utilize the Technical Assistance Group for on-site support as required.

• Install customer-ordered parts in accordance with company policies and professional standards.

• Suggest additional Smart Care services when advantageous to customers.

• Complete administrative tasks accurately and promptly, including work orders, time tracking, receipts, and truck stock inventory management.

• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures for accident prevention.

• Keep a clean and organized service vehicle, ensuring accurate inventory of parts and tools.

• Meet productivity levels that align with company standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or its equivalent.

• Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.

• Willingness and capability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.

• Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned.

• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

• Preferred relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (e.g., EPA, CFESA).

• Preferred experience in commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair.

• Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal direct supervision.

• Capability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds.

• Ability to work with moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces, liquids, and potential electrical shock in humid, damp, or freezing environments.

• Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and other elevated locations.
