This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and modify a standards-aligned foundational skills curriculum in Spanish for grades K–3.
• Design captivating Spanish-language lesson plans, assessments, and materials that enhance phonological awareness, phonics, decoding abilities, fluency, oral language skills, and early reading comprehension.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, editors, translators, and instructional designers.
• Implement evidence-based best practices in Spanish Language Arts instruction and literacy development.
• Revise materials based on feedback from internal stakeholders and clients.
• Assist in creating teacher-facing materials and professional learning resources as necessary.
• Utilize knowledge of current trends in Spanish literacy and bilingual/dual-language education.
• Incorporate suitable tools—including AI—to enhance content development while preserving instructional quality and linguistic accuracy.
• Exceptional fluency in Spanish, with a robust understanding of Spanish orthography, grammar, phonological awareness terminology, and instructional language.
• Strong proficiency in English for effective internal communication and collaboration across teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, literacy, bilingual education, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with AI tools and a willingness to learn new software platforms.
• A strong understanding of the US K–12 education system is preferred.
• Excellent writing skills in Spanish; experience in educational writing is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• A commitment to educational equity and inclusive literacy practices.
• Comfort with project management tools and meeting deadlines.
• Ability and willingness to work up to 50 hours per week based on project requirements and deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Ability to manage, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adhere to frequent deadlines.
• A collaborative, adaptable attitude and a sense of humor.
• Experience (professional, internship, or volunteer) in teaching, foundational literacy instruction, or bilingual education is preferred.
