This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research, outline, and compose a comprehensive manuscript ranging from 45,000 to 75,000 words.
• Create a Christ-centered book aimed at parents of neurodivergent children, including those with ADHD, Autism, sensory/auditory processing disorders, or various motor and learning differences.
• Emphasize unifying foundational principles rather than focusing solely on specific diagnoses.
• Work closely with the editorial team throughout multiple revision phases.
• Ensure that the content aligns theologically with The Daily Grace Co.’s doctrinal commitments.
• Develop a complete book proposal that includes the title and subtitle, controlling idea, summary, target audience, comparable titles, author biography, detailed chapter outline, timeline, and sample materials.
• Submit all proposal documents as a single PDF file.
• Provide the complete book introduction along with two fully written sample chapters.
• Mid-level experience is preferred.
• Capability to research, outline, and write a full-length manuscript of approximately 45,000 to 75,000 words.
• Proficient in writing for parents of neurodivergent children, including those dealing with ADHD, Autism, sensory/auditory processing disorders, or various motor and learning differences.
• Ability to concentrate on foundational principles that are relevant across a wide array of diagnoses and needs.
• Skilled in collaborating with an editorial team through several rounds of revisions.
• Ensure theological alignment with The Daily Grace Co.’s doctrinal beliefs.
• The proposal must feature a title and subtitle.
• It must include a 1-2 sentence controlling idea.
• The proposal should contain a one-paragraph summary that addresses purpose, scope, structure, and tone.
• It must provide a specific target audience description, covering life stages, challenges, questions, aspirations, and current relevance.
• Include 2–3 comparable titles published within the last five years, along with explanations of overlap and significant distinctions.
• Provide an author biography detailing education, relevant ministry/counseling/academic/professional experience, subject-matter expertise, pertinent lived experience if applicable, and previous publishing or writing experience.
• Include a detailed chapter outline with chapter titles and main concepts.
• The proposal should state the current manuscript status, estimated total word count, and anticipated delivery date.
• Submit all proposal materials in a single PDF format; Word Docs or Google Docs are not acceptable.
• Generative AI must not be used to create or refine sample chapters; the use of generative AI in book proposals is strongly discouraged by the company.
• No specific benefits or additional compensation details are provided.
• Participation in meetings, workshops, or collaborative sessions may be requested based on the project timeline.
