K-5 Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Assist in the instructional program through asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous teaching;

• Ensure timely completion of grading, progress report creation, and parent conferences;

• Regularly communicate with parents, students, and fellow educators to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules, assess student performance, offer feedback on assignments, recommend instructional methods and strategies, track assignment completion, and mentor on special projects;

• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the overall curriculum and an in-depth knowledge of the specific courses for which responsible;

• Analyze curriculum and create alternative methods for lesson delivery to enhance student comprehension;

• Provide support to students and parents with alternative strategies and offer additional help with daily tasks and projects;

• Collaborate with other educators to ensure all students are making successful progress through the program;

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and data;

• Work with other educators, team members, and staff to create alternative enrichment activities and necessary modifications to students’ programs;

• Organize regional field trips and strive to integrate these experiences into the curriculum;

• Engage in the organization and administration of State Testing as directed;

• Participate in field trips and other community events designed for families;

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be qualified and certified to teach the relevant subject in Michigan

• Residency in Michigan is required

• Proficient in technology, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills

• Highly organized and punctual

• Focused on student and family needs

• High level of adaptability

• Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated teamwork skills

• Strong interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with students, parents, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds.

• Availability to work occasional evening hours, as needed to assist some families

• Capability to work remotely, if required

• Must possess a personal electronic device and an email account for two-step authentication.
