K-5 Math Curriculum Writer

📋 Description

• Develop and modify standards-aligned Math curriculum for grades K-5

• Design engaging lesson plans, assessments, and student materials that promote mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills

• Collaborate with subject matter experts, editors, and instructional designers

• Implement evidence-based best practices in Math instruction

• Revise materials according to client feedback

• Assist in the creation of professional learning materials for educators

• Utilize knowledge of current trends in Math education

• Integrate innovative strategies and tools to boost learner engagement

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in math, education, or a related field

• Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to learn new software platforms

• Strong knowledge of the US K-12 education system preferred

• Excellent writing skills are essential, with a preference for candidates with educational writing experience

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Commitment to promoting educational equity

• Proficiency with project management tools and adherence to deadlines

• Ability and readiness to work up to 50 hours per week based on project demands and timelines

• Dedication to the organizational mission and fostering inclusion

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Capability to manage, prioritize, and multitask effectively

• Ability to navigate uncertainty and meet frequent deadlines

• A sense of humor and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

• Experience (professional, internship, or volunteer) in teaching is preferred
