This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Oversee the K-3 reading program.
• Deliver job-embedded professional development through coaching cycles, pre-planning, data collection, classroom support, and reflective discussions.
• Engage in instructional coaching which includes goal setting, observation, modeling, co-teaching, feedback, reflection, and action planning.
• Foster collegial relationships with teachers and provide constructive, non-evaluative feedback.
• Enhance literacy theory and Science of Reading content knowledge through ongoing professional development.
• Design, facilitate, and assess professional learning sessions that support evidence-based literacy practices, PLC activities, and school-wide literacy initiatives.
• Coordinate and manage Acadience Reading, NWEA MAP, and other diagnostic assessments.
• Assist in the analysis and interpretation of literacy data to guide instructional modifications.
• Align coaching efforts with the School Improvement Plan, Strategic Plan, and statewide literacy objectives.
• Lead the school literacy committee and assist MTSS teams with Individualized Reading Plans.
• Keep accurate coaching records and documentation.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure instructional practices align with state standards.
• Safeguard student-information confidentiality and exemplify professional and ethical standards.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• A valid Utah Professional Educator License is required in Elementary, Early Childhood Education, or Special Education (K-12).
• Completion of LETRS training or an equivalent program is mandatory.
• Professional Instructional Coaching endorsement is required, or a commitment to obtain it within 2 years of employment.
• A minimum of 3 years of successful experience as an elementary-level classroom teacher is essential.
• Preferred: 5 or more years of experience in elementary classroom teaching.
• A Master's degree or higher in education or a related field is preferred.
• Capability to coordinate Acadience Reading, NWEA MAP, and other diagnostic assessments.
• Familiarity with literacy theory, the Science of Reading, evidence-based literacy practices, state standards, MTSS, and Individualized Reading Plans.
• Ability to securely maintain confidential student information.
• Commitment to adhere to Utah Professional Practices Advisory Commission standards.
• Full-time, 10-month position.
