Junior/Mid AI Legal Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with global laws related to AI and e-commerce platforms.

• Handling contracts and assessments mandated by data protection legislation, including GDPR (Data Processing Agreements, Transfer Impact Assessments, etc.).

• Drafting and maintaining necessary compliance documentation, such as internal records pertaining to data protection, AI governance, consumer rights, and related regulations.

• Managing EverAI's AI systems inventory in accordance with EU guidelines.

• Conducting risk assessments as required by relevant safety laws.

• Evaluating products and features for compliance with consumer rights and data protection standards.

• Overseeing daily compliance responsibilities, including standard intellectual property matters (such as DMCA notices and counterfeits).

• Reviewing contracts, including non-disclosure agreements and licenses.

• Updating legal terms, including terms of service, privacy notices, and content policies.

• Monitoring, researching, and analyzing pertinent legal developments, such as the implementation of new laws or regulatory guidance applicable to EverAI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Jurisprudential education (e.g., Master of Law, Juris Doctor, or a recognized legal qualification).

• 2-6 years of experience in legal counsel roles or comparable positions.

• A minimum of 2 years of your experience should involve working with contracts in general, and specifically with data protection law.

• Familiarity with or eagerness to understand the legal framework applicable to B2C enterprises.

• Capability to simplify intricate legal concepts into straightforward language.

• Professional experience or an interest in the field of artificial intelligence.
