Junior/Mid AI Legal Specialist

📋 Description

• Taking charge of compliance with global regulations relevant to AI and e-commerce platforms.

• Managing contracts and evaluations necessary under data protection legislation, including GDPR (DPAs, TIAs, etc.).

• Creating and updating essential compliance documentation, such as internal records related to data protection, AI governance, consumer rights, and similar laws.

• Maintaining EverAI’s inventory of AI systems in accordance with EU guidelines.

• Conducting risk assessments in line with applicable safety regulations.

• Performing product and feature evaluations (e.g., concerning consumer rights and data protection compliance).

• Overseeing daily compliance responsibilities, including standard IP matters (e.g., DMCA notices, copycats), contract reviews (NDAs, licenses), legal terms updates (including TOS, Privacy Notices, and content policies), and tracking, researching, and analyzing relevant legal developments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a legal degree (e.g., Master of Law, Juris Doctor, or an equivalent legal certification).

• 2-6 years of experience in a legal counsel role or comparable positions.

• A minimum of 2 years of your experience should be in contract work generally and data protection law specifically.

• Capability to simplify complex legal concepts into plain English.

• A strong interest in AI.

• Proficiency in English.
