This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate vendor security advisories, investigate vulnerability reports, mailing lists, product changelogs, news articles, bug trackers, commits, exploits, and various other sources to pinpoint issues that represent legitimate vulnerabilities (provided sources) to utilize automation in creating a comprehensive vulnerability entry based on the findings.
• Navigate complex HTML, unusual site structures, and an ever-evolving vulnerability landscape.
• Create maintainable and scalable code to gather, parse, and transform scraped data, ensuring the prompt and efficient delivery of valuable insights to our clients.
• Design and execute robust, innovative automation technologies to establish effective and scalable data workflows and pipelines.
• Promote continuous process enhancement by participating in the advancement of software processes (requirements, design, implementation, testing, and validation) and pioneering inventive, technology-driven methods to address our most intricate data challenges.
• Collaborate with various teams such as Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to tackle customer issues, clarify technical content, and maintain a customer-centric approach.
• Leverage your integrity, strong moral compass, and sense of accountability to contribute to making Flashpoint and those around you more knowledgeable, resilient, and compassionate.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle processes.
• Interest in web scraping (prior experience is advantageous but not essential).
• Proficiency in Python or a similar object-oriented programming language.
• Familiarity with git, or a willingness to learn.
• Experience with orchestration frameworks like Apache Airflow/NIFI, or a readiness to learn.
• Knowledge of system integration.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Understanding of vulnerabilities is a plus.
