This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Examine how customer workflows are conducted through interviews, data analysis, handoffs, exceptions, and workarounds.
• Create fact bases that illustrate where cost, cash, service, cycle time, or control is being compromised.
• Develop and rigorously test hypotheses, including criteria for dismissal.
• Organize unfamiliar issues and construct selection equations for effective decision-making.
• Transform analysis into presentations, one-pagers, and memos that are ready for decision-making.
• Generate precise materials with clearly defined baselines, assumptions, and supporting evidence.
• Provide outputs on the same day or the following day for specified requests.
• Assist multiple live enterprise accounts by serving as analytical surge capacity.
• Adapt across various categories, supply chains, finance operations, inventory, and commercial problem types.
• Keep a clear record of actions, outstanding questions, and evidence.
• Identify blockers and ambiguities early in the process.
• Aid in establishing baselines, targets, and measurement periods prior to implementation.
• Quantify results in terms of revenue, margin, cost, working capital, cycle time, and control.
• Analyze both successful outcomes and missed opportunities, and compile evidence packs.
• Cultivate working-level relationships with operators and mid-level process owners.
• Organize working sessions, document decisions, and follow up on commitments.
• Raise issues that necessitate senior input.
• Collaborate with Transformation Strategists and Forward Deployed Engineers, while not managing commercial negotiations, board-level relationships, or technical builds.
• Currently an Associate, Senior Associate, or Consultant (or equivalent) at McKinsey or BCG; candidates from Bain and other top strategy firms may be considered if they possess similar expertise.
• Typically possess around 2–4 years of core, client-facing consulting experience.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality analyses and presentations utilized by partners and clients for decision-making.
• Capable of working efficiently without compromising on thoroughness.
• Comfortable operating as surge capacity across diverse issues rather than managing a single comprehensive study from start to finish.
• Employ structured, hypothesis-driven problem-solving techniques.
• Possess analytical speed and numeracy; comfortable working with messy data and incomplete information.
• Strong writing skills and proficiency in slide creation.
• Ability to derive insights and recognize areas where value is being lost.
• Quick adaptation to new accounts and problem types within a few days.
• Strong delivery focus and commitment to follow through.
• Good judgment when interacting with operators and managers.
• Capability to leverage AI for accelerated research, analysis, and drafting while ensuring output quality remains high.
• Proficient in navigating imperfect instructions and promptly highlighting bad news.
• Helpful, but not mandatory: experience in retail, CPG, supply chain, logistics, inventory, or finance operations; prior startup or early-stage exposure.
• Must be residing in the UK or willing to relocate there prior to starting.
• Ability to travel to client sites from the UK.
