This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Importing and organizing tax documentation and XML files
• Reviewing incoming and outgoing invoices, as well as service invoices
• Assisting in the analysis of CFOP, CST, CSOSN, and transaction types
• Performing tax bookkeeping and entries
• Aiding in tax calculations for entities under the Simples Nacional and Presumed Profit regimes
• Preparing data for PGDAS-D, DEFIS, EFD-Contributions, SPED Fiscal, REINF, and DCTFWeb/MIT submissions
• Assisting in the review of tax withholdings
• Identifying and organizing pending client items
• Issuing payment slips, tax clearance certificates, and conducting tax inquiries
• Monitoring deadlines and tasks within Gclick
• Organizing documents and supporting evidence on Drive
• Supporting the Mid-Level Tax Analyst during monthly closing processes
• Documenting completed activities and highlighting inconsistencies
• Communicating internal outstanding items before deadlines
• Assisting in the analysis of tax discrepancies and regularization processes
• Keeping track of updates to tax legislation relevant to clients’ operations
• Recording data, pending items, and follow-up actions in Nuvem’s internal tools
• Communicating risks, inconsistencies, delays, or the necessity for validation to the team and/or client
• Providing assistance during audits, tax inspections, information-gathering activities, and tax information requests
• Proposing improvements, automation, and standardization of tax processes
• Assisting colleagues with specific tax-related inquiries
• Collaborating in an organized and transparent manner within a remote working model
• Higher-impact tax decisions and risk situations must be validated by the Mid-Level Tax Analyst or the department head
• Currently pursuing or have obtained a degree in Accounting
• Previous experience in a tax department, ideally within an accounting firm
• Basic to intermediate understanding of the Simples Nacional and Presumed Profit regime
• Foundational knowledge of ISS, ICMS, PIS, COFINS, IRPJ, CSLL, and concepts related to CBS and IBS
• Familiarity with invoices and tax documents
• Basic understanding of CFOP, CST, and CSOSN
• Basic knowledge of ancillary tax obligations
• Proficient in using systems and digital tools
• Organized approach to managing deadlines, pending items, and multiple priorities
• Attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies
• Strong written communication abilities
• Capability to adhere to processes, procedures, and checklists
• Maturity to work remotely with discipline and gradually increasing independence
• Practical experience at an accounting firm working with tax routines will be evaluated through knockout questions
• Knowledge of or experience with Alterdata, SIEG, and Domínio will be considered in the application questions
• Experience with SPED Fiscal, the Actual Profit regime, the Presumed Profit regime, and Simples Nacional will be taken into account during the application process
