Junior Quality Assurance Engineer – Automated Testing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Automated Testing: Create, develop, and execute automated test scripts for software utilizing industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, JMeter, Python).

• Test Strategy: Establish automated testing strategies and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

• Integration: Work collaboratively with development teams to incorporate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Document progress and issues in Jira and communicate using Microsoft Teams.

• Performance Testing: Execute performance and load testing to evaluate system scalability and resilience.

• Troubleshooting: Detect, analyze, and resolve complex problems in both automated and manual testing environments.

• Documentation: Keep comprehensive documentation of test cases, test scripts, and testing processes in Jira. Use Excel for analyzing and reporting on testing metrics, implementing advanced functions as necessary.

• Data Analysis: Leverage SQL Server Management Studio for backend data validation and to comprehend data relationships to ensure precision.

• Time Management: Exhibit effective time management skills to juggle multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes promptly.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software testing with a significant emphasis on automated testing of backend systems.

• Skills: Expertise in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, RestAssured, TestNG, JMeter).

• Knowledge: Profound understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and best practices associated with automated testing.

• Tools: Familiarity with Jira for documentation and issue tracking, Microsoft Teams for collaboration, Excel for reporting (including advanced functions), and SQL Server Management Studio for backend data validation.

• Data Manipulation: Strong capability to comprehend data relationships and execute effective data manipulation using advanced spreadsheet functions.

• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to troubleshoot complex issues.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.

• **Preferred Qualifications:**

• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their testing-related services.

• Familiarity with manual testing.

• ISTQB certification.
