This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Assist the QA team in their quality assurance efforts for systems, websites, and applications.
• Help execute both manual and functional testing procedures.
• Aid in the development and upkeep of test scenarios and test cases.
• Conduct basic tests to ensure compliance with specified requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Detect unexpected behaviors, inconsistencies, and potential defects.
• Facilitate bug reporting, detailing the issue, reproduction steps, expected outcomes, and actual results.
• Gather test evidence, including screenshots and videos.
• Assist in retesting following bug fixes.
• Support regression testing activities.
• Monitor the squad’s user stories and tasks using Jira or similar project management tools.
• Engage in squad ceremonies, such as Daily Stand-ups, Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospectives.
• Collaborate with QAs, developers, Product Owners, and other squad members.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining test documentation.
• Learn and implement fundamental software quality and development lifecycle concepts.
• Gain knowledge of testing tools and techniques.
• Communicate questions, issues, and obstacles to the relevant QA or team members.
• Foster a culture where quality is a shared responsibility across the entire squad.
• Currently enrolled in a technical program or pursuing an early-stage undergraduate degree in Systems Analysis and Development, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
• A keen interest in technology, software development, and quality assurance.
• Fundamental understanding of computers and digital tools.
• Familiarity with websites and applications.
• Basic programming logic skills are advantageous.
• A foundational understanding of software development is beneficial.
• Academic or personal experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other programming languages is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, or similar tools is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or agile methodologies is a plus.
• Introductory coursework related to software testing, programming, technology, or quality will be regarded positively.
