
Junior Maximo Configuration Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Configure, sustain, and provide support for IBM Maximo Asset Management (v7.6.x) and/or Maximo Application Suite (MAS 9) applications, modules, user interfaces, workflows, and automation scripts to meet business and operational needs.
• Leverage Maximo configuration tools, such as Application Designer, Database Configuration, Workflow Designer, and Automation Scripting, to implement system upgrades, enhance functionality, and ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
• Conduct unit testing and validation for new configurations, enhancements, and system updates.
• Diagnose and rectify Maximo configuration issues.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, configuration records, and user manuals.
• Facilitate bulk data imports, exports, and data cleansing efforts utilizing the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) or MX Loader.
• Provide assistance with basic report creation, modifications, and data analysis using Maximo reporting tools (e.g., BIRT, Cognos) and SQL queries.
• Rigorously comply with established IT governance, change management protocols, and security practices.
• US Citizenship with the ability to secure a Public Trust.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Over 2 years of practical experience with IBM Maximo, enterprise asset management (EAM) software, or complex ERP systems.
• Basic knowledge of the asset management lifecycle, maintenance operations, and work order tracking.
• Foundational understanding of relational databases and data architectures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proactive approach to learning.
• Previous experience with federal contracts is preferred.
• Familiarity with integration concepts, APIs (REST/JSON), or middleware platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or other software development lifecycle methodologies is preferred.
• Any official IBM Maximo training, badges, or certifications are highly regarded (preferred).
