Junior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create and execute Micro Service Architecture JEE software applications.

• Develop highly scalable full-stack web and batch applications.

• Engage in Agile development practices and ceremonies.

• Build front-end applications utilizing JavaScript frameworks, HTML, and CSS.

• Construct back-end applications using Spring Boot, Core Java, JDBC, SQL, RESTful APIs, and Microservices.

• Employ Eclipse, Rational Application Developer (RAD), and Atlassian Suites for software design, development, and testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field (4 years of equivalent experience may substitute for a degree).

• 0-2+ years of software development experience with Java.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a MBI clearance, necessitating U.S. Citizenship.

• Familiarity with formal system development methodologies, including Agile.

• Experience in a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.

• Knowledge of business process modeling.

• Proficient in eliciting and documenting software requirements through use cases and user stories.

• Background in business analysis tasks, such as software requirements management, software requirements elicitation, software solutions analysis, and software requirements planning.

• Strong attention to detail and follow-through abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Membership in the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or a related professional organization is advantageous.

• Active IRS MBI Clearance is highly preferred.
