Senior Java and Node.js Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and improve APIs, microservices, and workers utilizing Java and Node.js.

• Engage in requirements gathering, refinement, and the definition of technical tasks.

• Execute solutions based on Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Hexagonal Architecture, Design Patterns, and principles of clean code.

• Develop and sustain unit and integration tests.

• Work with both relational and non-relational databases, as well as messaging systems.

• Take part in code reviews, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.

• Troubleshoot issues, monitor support tickets, and assist in resolving obstacles.

• Offer technical support to fellow team members.

• Collaborate with the Tech Lead to enhance processes and documentation.

• Join ceremonies and alignment meetings with the client to communicate progress, risks, and blockers.

• Suggest enhancements to boost the quality, stability, and predictability of deliveries.

• Develop and improve APIs and microservices for a strategic payments platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive backend development experience with Java and Node.js, demonstrating professional proficiency in both technologies.

• Strong familiarity with Node.js, especially NestJS.

• Proven experience in developing REST APIs, microservices, and workers.

• Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Hexagonal Architecture, and Design Patterns.

• Solid grasp of object-oriented programming and best practices for clean code.

• Proficient in unit and integration testing, TDD, and BDD.

• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, preferably Oracle and MongoDB.

• Experience with messaging systems like IBM MQ or RabbitMQ.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes or OpenShift.

• Experience using Git, conducting code reviews, merging, and working in collaborative development environments.

• Experience with CI/CD and tools such as Jenkins.

• Ability to independently analyze and resolve issues.

• Strong communication skills and confidence in direct client interactions.

• Preferred: experience in financial, banking, fintech, or payments sectors.

• Preferred: experience with Pix and high-volume transactional systems.

• Preferred: advanced knowledge of Java and Node.js.

• Preferred: familiarity with DevOps culture and practices.

• Preferred: experience in high-availability environments and mission-critical systems.

• Preferred: prior experience serving as a technical reference or leading technical teams.

• Preferred: consulting experience and direct engagement with enterprise clients.

• Preferred: understanding of the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence tools in software development.
