Junior Implementation Engineer, MENA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• We are seeking a junior engineer to become part of the implementation team and assist in the development and deployment of AI agents for our mid-market clientele.

• You will collaborate with a senior implementation engineer, gaining insights into the Lua platform and contributing to live customer projects right from your first week.

• Develop agent skills and tools using TypeScript through the Lua CLI — the functions enabling agents to perform real actions such as API calls, data lookups, and webhook triggers.

• Establish and configure agent environments: sandbox for development and production for live deployments.

• Configure and oversee client knowledge bases — the information that agents utilize to provide answers and adhere to business rules.

• Conduct QA and testing cycles prior to deployment — testing across various channels (WhatsApp, web, Slack) and identifying issues.

• Assist the senior engineer on ongoing implementations throughout the entire build lifecycle.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for each implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of coding experience — whether through professional roles, bootcamps, personal projects, or academic assignments. Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript is essential.

• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and fundamental web architecture. You recognize what an endpoint is and how to conduct tests using Postman or similar tools.

• A quick learner who prefers hands-on experience over waiting for guidance. The platform, CLI, and agent architecture will be new to you.

• Excellent written communication skills — you will engage in Slack daily, providing updates, identifying blockers, and documenting your progress.

• Dependable. When you state that a task is completed and tested, it must genuinely be accomplished and verified.

• Proficient in both Arabic and English.
