This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Conduct geospatial analysis activities utilizing satellite imagery and software dedicated to the collection, processing, analysis, and visualization of geospatial data.

• Classify and assess imagery for land use and land cover evaluation, change detection, and thematic mapping.

• Analyze, edit, and convert geographic data into vector formats.

• Employ Geographic Information System (GIS) tools and company systems to analyze and process geospatial information.

• Generate data to populate spatial databases.

• Assist in the development of manuals and documentation for geospatial procedures.

• Execute related tasks as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cartographic Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geospatial Technology, Geography, Biology, or a similar field.

• Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

• Experience in interpreting satellite imagery for land use and land cover classification.

• Basic understanding of vectorization using QGIS or ArcGIS.

• Fundamental knowledge of cartography, remote sensing, and geospatial analysis.

• Familiarity with photointerpretation principles and image classification.

• Basic knowledge of Brazilian biomes, vegetation types, and socio-environmental dynamics.

• Ability to manage recurring processes systematically, with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Capability to function as part of a team and communicate effectively.

• Strong analytical skills and a dedication to ongoing learning.
