Junior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist throughout the entire Federal budget process, from formulation to the creation of spend plans, contract closeout, and the execution of the current fiscal year budget.

• Aid in the development of the FPS FPMD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution reference guide and provide training to the financial and budgetary community in the regions.

• Compile historical financial and budgetary records.

• Offer support for financial and budgetary records management.

• Create and deliver knowledge management support through documentation of practices and processes.

• Supply supporting documents in response to inquiries about obligations.

• Provide reports on obligation timeliness, values of new obligations compared to contract closeout de-obligations, backlogs, and error rates.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years demonstrating expertise in developing and managing work products using the Microsoft Office suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, showcasing the ability to work independently, pay attention to detail, and uphold high-quality standards in work outputs.

• At least 1 year of professional experience in project management and program analysis, with hands-on experience in verbally presenting information and facilitating discussions with individuals at all organizational levels.

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in team settings, exhibiting interpersonal, team-building, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• A keen interest in acquiring knowledge about Federal financial execution, including reimbursables, the federal accounting cycle, and reconciliations.

• Proven ability to independently conduct background research, structure written work products, and clearly articulate findings.

• Capability to obtain a public trust security clearance.

• A desire to work with Federal business systems related to accounting, accountability, and financial reporting procedures within Federal agencies.
