Junior Electrical Engineer, Data Centre

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation of electrical layouts, single line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.

• Provide support for load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, and protection coordination.

• Contribute to the electrical design of liquid-cooled data center solutions.

• Collaborate with Mechanical, Controls, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Project Management teams.

• Engage in design reviews and technical meetings.

• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and engineering documentation.

• Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), installation, testing, and commissioning.

• Troubleshoot electrical issues that arise during the commissioning phase.

• Generate reports and maintain engineering documentation.

• Ensure adherence to IEC, NEC, IEEE standards, as well as company quality and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• 0–6 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates with internships are welcome to apply.

• Proficiency in ETAP is essential.

• Familiarity with low voltage (LV) electrical distribution systems.

• Understanding of transformers, switchgear, UPS, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs)/Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs), earthing, and lightning protection.

• Capability to interpret electrical drawings.

• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical/AutoCAD.

• Competent in MS Office applications.

• Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Revit MEP, ETAP/EPLAN, exposure to PLC/SCADA/BMS, and familiarity with TIA-942 and IEC standards.
