Junior Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary point of contact for workflow failures and system errors within client environments.

• Oversee daily error reports, prioritize issues, and manage tasks on support boards.

• Address known technical problems utilizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalate intricate cases to senior teams.

• Oversee and monitor data workflows between interconnected systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency.

• Recognize recurring issues and assist in the development of SOPs to enhance efficiency and minimize escalations.

• Serve as a bridge between internal teams and external technology partners, ensuring alignment and progress.

• Track integration and development projects, maintain visibility, and proactively follow up on outstanding items.

• Update and manage project trackers, highlight blockers, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

• Create and sustain technical documentation, including SOPs, process guides, and resolution libraries.

• Conduct API investigations, involving the review of documentation, data field mapping, and preparation of technical briefs.

• Execute initial scoping work for integration projects, reducing reliance on senior developers.

• Assist with internal API and tooling projects, including integration testing and enhancement of system connections.

• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of workflows, processes, and system performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous development experience or practical exposure to technical applications in a real-world setting.

• Strong understanding of APIs, including the ability to read documentation and interpret data outputs.

• Proficient in utilizing AI tools as part of daily workflows and problem-solving activities.

• Excellent coordination skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders efficiently.

• Analytical and investigative mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and evolving processes in a dynamic environment.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional and external teams.

• Located in Cape Town or open to relocation, with availability for occasional in-person work.

• Experience with workflow or integration tools such as HubSpot, Asana, or similar platforms is a plus.

• Familiarity with webhook setup, data mapping, or API testing tools is advantageous.
