Junior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Craft optimized queries for the extraction, transformation, and analysis of data in relational databases.

• Create interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI tailored for various stakeholders.

• Analyze trends, anomalies, and patterns in data to provide actionable business insights.

• Document data transformations, business logic, and processes that have been implemented.

• Ensure data integrity and conduct tests within dbt pipelines.

• Work collaboratively with business teams to fulfill ad hoc analysis requests.

• Transform data into actionable insights to aid in Afya’s strategic decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.

• Capability to develop functional dashboards and reports incorporating basic DAX measures in Power BI.

• Skill in structuring problems and converting requirements into effective data solutions.

• Highly accurate in conducting analysis and documenting processes.

• Basic familiarity with Git for version control in dbt repositories.

• Preferred hands-on experience in developing dbt transformations, models, tests, and documentation.

• Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar (preferred).

• Knowledge of Python for crafting data processing scripts (preferred).

• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps methodologies in data pipelines (preferred).

• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or dbt Cloud (preferred).

• Knowledge of statistics and mathematics as applied to data analysis (preferred).

• Experience with Agile methodologies (preferred).

• Proficient technical English reading and writing skills (preferred).

• Either completed higher education or currently pursuing a degree.

• A portfolio or GitHub showcasing proficiency in SQL, dbt, and Power BI.

• Demonstrated ability to learn swiftly and adapt to new tools.

• Strong communication skills and effective collaboration with diverse teams.
