Junior Body Exterior Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Implement actions to enhance the Cost Per Unit (CPU) and warranty expenditures for Body Exterior systems.

• Track and analyze quality data to identify and address high-impact issues.

• Lead and monitor Total Value Management (TVM) initiatives aimed at cost reduction and process improvement.

• Oversee validation testing for all cost reduction initiatives related to Body Exterior systems.

• Ensure the proper execution of manufacturing processes for quality ideas applied to Body Exterior systems.

• Monitor and report key metrics such as Cost Per Unit (CPU) and Repairs per 1000 units (R/1000).

• Validate that all quality improvement initiatives meet both company and industry standards.

• Create and manage comprehensive status reports on all quality projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive quality engineering, specifically in Body Exterior systems.

• Experience leading cost reduction initiatives and warranty improvement efforts.

• Proficient in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Lean Manufacturing principles.

• Familiarity with Total Value Management (TVM) and cost optimization methodologies.

• Strong knowledge of validation testing and manufacturing processes.

• Familiar with automotive quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).

• Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, or equivalents).

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Valid visa and passport (required).
