Junior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain backend APIs and services using JavaScript (Node.js).

• Troubleshoot and enhance existing systems by addressing bugs and implementing improvements.

• Develop tests for the code produced, contributing to the overall quality of deliverables.

• Engage in code reviews, providing and receiving technical feedback.

• Clearly document developed solutions to ensure accessibility for the team.

• Assist in requirements analysis and task estimation.

• Work alongside Product and business teams to grasp their needs and provide appropriate solutions.

• Take part in the team's Agile ceremonies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed or ongoing bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Hands-on experience in backend development through internships, academic projects, personal projects, or professional roles.

• Proficient in JavaScript.

• Understanding of REST API development.

• Fundamental knowledge of backend application architecture.

• Familiar with Node.js.

• Knowledge of Git and collaborative workflows (branches, pull requests).

• An inquisitive nature and a genuine desire to learn and develop.

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to seek assistance and raise questions.

• Willingness to accept and implement feedback.

• A collaborative mindset and capability to work effectively within a team.

• Organized and dedicated to achieving results.

• Experience with or interest in the financial services sector.

• Basic understanding of automated testing.

• Personal projects, internships, or open-source contributions that can be showcased.
