Junior Accounting Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the client onboarding process for designated client engagements

• Aid in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Prepare bookkeeping entries, conduct monthly closing activities, and generate financial reports and analyses

• Assist with payroll and various special projects as assigned

• Create depreciation schedules, sales journals, and sales tax returns

• Review and reconcile payroll records along with employment tax returns

• Support regular and thorough audits

• Help with revenue forecasting and profit margin evaluations

• Assist in general ledger reconciliation, and oversee accounts payable and receivable

• Aid in the preparation and filing of corporate and individual income tax returns, including annual 1099 forms

• Investigate complex tax issues and propose suitable solutions

• Assist in research projects and the preparation of financial reports

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as accounting, finance, economics, business, etc.

• Entry-level position; candidates with up to 2 years of experience are preferred

• Strong desire to learn more about US Accounting Systems

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Business English; all interviews will be conducted in English

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

• Analytical mindset with the capability to support intricate data analysis and reporting tasks

• Commitment to a career path centered on accounting and tax

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous settings while prioritizing and multitasking in a dynamic environment

• Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities

• Keen attention to detail and ability to adhere to standard procedures

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems is advantageous

• Knowledge/experience of US GAAP is a plus
