Java, FICO Mid-level Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and implement systems based on established design patterns while suggesting enhancements.

• Evaluate new features for applications.

• Conduct integration testing on various applications.

• Adhere to best practices in systems development.

• Work collaboratively on developing machine learning interfaces to enhance application performance.

• Design, construct, and sustain solutions and improvements for the platform/service used by FICO decision engines and offers.

• Ensure the health, performance, availability, and security of applications are maintained.

• Create unit tests, conduct code reviews, and resolve any issues encountered.

• Collaborate with team members, R&D, and stakeholders to define and detail architectures and technologies.

• Actively seek out innovations in system processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in development.

• Familiarity with rules and decision engines (FICO Blaze / DMPS).

• Proficient in Java 8 or higher.

• Experience with Spring Boot.

• Knowledge of Git and GitLab.

• Understanding of Microservices and REST APIs.

• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

• Familiarity with RabbitMQ or Kafka.

• Skills in unit testing and ensuring test coverage.

• Proficient with troubleshooting tools (ELK stack or similar) and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools (Dynatrace, Grafana, or similar).

• Knowledge of design patterns, Clean Code principles, and SOLID principles.

• Understanding of agile practices and development methodologies.

• Experience in large-scale corporate settings or complex projects.

• A Bachelor's degree completed or currently in progress in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

• Additional skills (not mandatory): Docker; SonarQube; Spring WebFlux; Redis; Gradle; Jenkins; Jira; Camunda Community Edition and BPMN modeling best practices; OpenL; Spring Batch; experience in financial institutions.
