Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable backend services utilizing Java and the Spring ecosystem, which includes Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.

• Design, execute, and manage RESTful APIs.

• Engage in the design, optimization, and upkeep of PostgreSQL database models.

• Deploy, oversee, and maintain applications operating on OpenShift.

• Collaborate with frontend engineers using React to merge frontend and backend services.

• Take part in code reviews and uphold high standards of code quality.

• Develop and implement unit tests while promoting continuous integration practices.

• Diagnose production issues.

• Enhance application performance, scalability, and security.

• Work collaboratively within Agile teams during sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Java backend development.

• In-depth knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices architecture.

• Practical experience with PostgreSQL.

• Background in designing and developing REST APIs.

• Familiarity with Docker containers and OpenShift.

• Proficient in using Git for version control.

• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Capability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional setting.

• Experience with React development (preferred).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub Actions (preferred).

• Background in working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure (preferred).

• Experience with cloud-native application development and containerized deployments (preferred).
