Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Server-side development: responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the server-side logic for web applications. This includes creating scalable and efficient server-side components and APIs.

• Database management: engaging with relational and/or NoSQL databases to efficiently store and retrieve data. This involves designing and optimizing database schemas for enhanced performance and scalability.

• API Integration: connecting third-party APIs and web services to improve application functionality. Additionally, developing custom APIs to ensure effective communication between front-end and back-end systems.

• Security: applying best practices in security to safeguard against prevalent web application vulnerabilities. Regularly conducting security audits and implementing necessary enhancements.

• Optimization: refining server-side code to achieve maximum speed and scalability. Actively monitoring and troubleshooting any performance issues.

• Collaborating with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members to guarantee seamless integration of components.

• Version control: utilizing version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage and record changes to the codebase.

• Testing and debugging: performing comprehensive testing of server-side components to identify and rectify bugs. Working alongside QA engineers for thorough testing.

• Creating and maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation for back-end systems and APIs.

• Proficient in Java server-side programming.

• Experience with database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

• Demonstrated experience in back-end development and constructing scalable web applications.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and technologies.
