Java Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Technology team to create and implement new or modified application systems and programs.

• Recognize and articulate the necessary enhancements to systems through the use of scripting tools, alongside code analysis and interpretation.

• Engage with users, clients, and technology groups to address issues and propose programming solutions.

• Install and provide support for customer exposure systems.

• Develop design specifications utilizing various programming languages.

• Evaluate applications for vulnerabilities and security concerns.

• Perform testing and debugging activities.

• Mentor or guide less experienced analysts.

• Identify challenges, assess information, and suggest and implement effective solutions.

• Troubleshoot issues by leveraging technical expertise and established guidelines.

• Function with minimal direct supervision and demonstrate independent decision-making capabilities.

• Serve as a subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members.

• Evaluate and manage risks, ensure adherence to relevant laws and policies, and transparently escalate and report control issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of pertinent experience in the financial services sector.

• Intermediate-level proficiency in application development using Java.

• Extensive practical experience with Java, the Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.

• Background in designing and constructing microservices-based architectures.

• Strong experience in implementing Kafka for event-driven systems.

• Familiarity with container technologies, particularly ECS.

• High level of skill in PL/SQL for database development and optimization.

• Experience in Agile development methodologies.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal forms.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• Capacity to perform under pressure and manage tight deadlines or unexpected changes.

• Hands-on experience with AI tools and the ability to create optimized prompts.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
