This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, and sustain IVR applications in line with business and technical specifications.
• Integrate IVR solutions with essential internal services.
• Oversee IVR systems and implement operational enhancements to improve customer experience.
• Diagnose and resolve issues within the voice contact center and IVR environments.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of solutions.
• Operate independently while supporting a regional business unit aligned with global goals.
• Engage in forward-thinking initiatives to enhance call steering and IVR architecture.
• Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on Java.
• Proficient Java programming skills in Java EE and Spring Boot / Spring Core.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and design patterns.
• Experience with SQL for application configuration and data-driven logic.
• Practical experience in designing and developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience in cloud platform engineering, preferably with AWS.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities, including the investigation of production issues.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced, global setting.
• Nice to Have: Understanding of voice contact center systems and IVR platforms.
• Experience in developing IVR applications.
• Understanding of AI integration and LLM-based architectures.
• Knowledge of voice technologies and speech standards (VoiceXML, SRGS, MRCP, CCXML).
