Java Application Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Architecture and design of information systems;

• Development and design of architectural components and building blocks;

• Creation of software architecture documentation;

• Design of application data models;

• Creation of application workflow models;

• Development of application APIs utilizing appropriate frameworks (REST, Swagger);

• Design and development of software components and building blocks using suitable back-end frameworks (Java Spring, JPA);

• Implementation of application integration with corporate AM services for authentication and authorization;

• Delivery using a CI/CD pipeline.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in IT or a related field, along with a minimum of 13 years of relevant professional experience in IT;

• 6 years of experience in Java web application development, including at least 3 years with Java Spring, Hibernate, and REST API development;

• 3 years of experience in developing complex information systems;

• 3 years of experience in frontend development with Angular or Kendo UI;

• 2 years of experience with Agile software development methodologies (refactoring, test-driven development, user story modeling) and Scrum;

• Strong knowledge of Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Balsamiq);

• Proficient in Maven;

• Familiarity with Junit;

• Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture;

• Knowledge of Java application servers, particularly Oracle WebLogic;

• Familiarity with Relational DBMS, especially Oracle DB, along with SQL;

• Strong grasp of web application design, specifically Java back-end components and frameworks (Java Spring, Java 8 +);

• Proficient in modeling methods and notations (UML);

• Knowledge of CI/CD and container technologies, including Git, Jenkins, and Docker;

• Familiarity with OAuth;

• Knowledge of Spring framework, Spring Data, Spring for web services, JPA, and Spring security;

• Understanding of Microservices;

• Familiarity with Security concepts;

• Experience with the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket);

• Excellent command of the English language.
