Italian to French OPI/VRI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Professionally handle incoming calls while adhering to the Interpreter’s Code of Conduct.

• Be ready to take notes during calls as necessary.

• Stay well-versed in industry-specific terminology, especially in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering any information.

• Provide exceptional customer service during all interpreting assignments.

• Assist in communication between Limited French Proficient (LFP) clients and the client by delivering precise and complete message interpretation.

• Uphold professional standards of practice at all times.

• Engage in internal professional training opportunities.

• Seek additional professional certifications as required.

• Regularly communicate and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code policies for video remote interpreting (VRI).

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (French) and a native speaker of the target language (Italian).

• At least 1 year of experience in over-the-phone interpretation (OPI) with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology is essential.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is considered an advantage.

• International healthcare certifications are beneficial (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA).

• High school diploma in your first language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and cultural awareness.

• Exceptional communication, active listening, note-taking, and short-term memory skills.

• Technical requirements: This role is fully remote; you must fulfill the technical specifications for your computer and internet connectivity.
