IT Tech Lead – Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive technical leadership for the Transportation Management System (TMS).

• Supervise the integration of TMS with other enterprise systems.

• Ensure the TMS is optimized for scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Manage the customization and configuration of the TMS to adapt to changing business needs.

• Lead initiatives to address technical challenges and troubleshoot TMS system issues.

• Continuously monitor system performance, analyze logs, and implement enhancements.

• Ensure compliance with organizational security protocols for the TMS system.

• Direct technical projects related to the TMS, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Work with cross-functional teams to guarantee the TMS meets operational demands.

• Implement and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to provide actionable insights.

• Oversee the integration of real-time data feeds into the TMS.

• Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Continuously evaluate and enhance transportation management processes.

• Stay informed on the latest TMS trends and technologies, recommending innovative solutions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

• 7+ years of IT experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years specifically dedicated to Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or related logistics software.

• Demonstrated experience in system architecture, design, and implementation for TMS platforms.

• Practical experience with Blue Yonder TMS or other leading TMS platform solutions.

• Project Management experience leading large-scale technical projects from planning through execution.

• Strong understanding of TMS architecture, integration technologies, and related tools.

• Expertise in integrating TMS with other enterprise systems using EDI, API, etc.

• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, SQL) and tools utilized in system customization.

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Experience with cloud-based or SaaS TMS solutions is a plus.

• Strong background in managing projects with an emphasis on timelines, budgets, and business requirements.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
