IT Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the service desk and manage IT requests from a fully remote team via Slack and the ticketing system.

• Provision, modify, and revoke user access across Google Workspace, Slack, AWS, and the SaaS stack.

• Ensure efficient onboarding and offboarding processes.

• Oversee the Mac fleet using MDM.

• Manage procurement, shipping, repair, recovery, and inventory of company equipment.

• Administer company tools and software.

• Support the security program by evaluating alerts and findings from Wiz, Datadog, endpoint protection, and other related tools.

• Direct security concerns to the appropriate engineer with detailed context.

• Gather and organize evidence for SOC 2 and PCI audits.

• Assist in completing customer security questionnaires.

• Develop runbooks and documentation.

• Propose and execute enhancements to IT policies, processes, and tools.

• Utilize AI and scripting to automate repetitive tasks.

• Report to the VP of IT and collaborate closely with DevOps engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in IT systems administration or support across multiple companies or environments.

• Practical experience administering Google Workspace and a SaaS-focused stack, including identity and access management.

• Experience managing macOS devices using an MDM such as Iru, Jamf, or similar.

• Familiarity with AWS, including basic IAM principles.

• Proficiency in shell scripting or Python for task automation.

• Exposure to security tools (CSPM, EDR, SIEM, or vulnerability scanners).

• Strong desire to advance in the security domain.

• Patient, clear, and friendly service-oriented approach when interacting with non-technical colleagues.

• Ability to navigate unfamiliar systems, assess urgency, and prioritize tasks independently.

• Excellent written communication and documentation abilities.
