IT Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the analysis and conversion of intricate business and functional requirements into system requirements and technical specifications across various initiatives.

• Develop and assess comprehensive technical specifications and tasks for sophisticated, cross-system solutions.

• Establish processing logic, validations, exception handling, and anticipated system behavior.

• Ensure that requirements and specifications are thorough, of high quality, traceable, and consistent with enterprise standards.

• Define and evaluate data structures, interfaces, integrations, and data transformations.

• Examine enterprise-wide system impacts, dependencies, and data flows across platforms.

• Specify non-functional requirements regarding security, performance, scalability, resilience, and auditability.

• Provide guidance on solution architecture and design choices.

• Assist in backlog readiness and facilitate intricate refinement, planning, and design discussions.

• Assess technical complexity, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs to assist in prioritization and sequencing.

• Collaborate with QA and engineering leadership on testing strategies.

• Verify delivered functionality against requirements, specifications, expected behavior, and downstream effects.

• Lead or consult on defect triage and resolve complex system, data, and integration issues.

• Create and manage documentation standards and establish best practices for requirements analysis.

• Spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing processes, system efficiency, scalability, and data quality.

• Act as a subject matter expert, mentor analysts, and provide strategic leadership across teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.

• A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Proven experience in translating business requirements into technical or system specifications is essential.

• Experience in supporting system integrations, data flows, and application behavior is required.

• Familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery environments is preferred.

• Background in enterprise or regulated environments is preferred.

• Exceptional skills in systems analysis and technical requirements documentation.

• Strong aptitude for interpreting complex business needs and converting them into scalable, high-quality technical solutions.

• Extensive experience in defining interfaces, APIs, data models, and integrations.

• Robust understanding of system architecture, dependencies, and enterprise data flows.

• Ability to assess complexity, dependencies, risks, and technical trade-offs across initiatives.

• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Capacity to operate with a high degree of autonomy and influence outcomes.

• Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across Product, Business, Architecture, Development, QA, and Operations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
