This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +25 more states.
• Deliver daily support and enhance Epic Inpatient clinical applications, including system configurations, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Evaluate inpatient clinical and operational workflows to pinpoint optimization opportunities and enhance patient care outcomes.
• Collaborate with clinicians, nursing leadership, and operational teams to collect requirements and convert clinical needs into Epic Inpatient solutions.
• Conduct and document workflow assessments to ascertain functional and clinical requirements.
• Create and implement system test plans for Epic Inpatient upgrades and enhancements, documenting the results.
• Oversee problem, incident, and change management processes for inpatient clinical systems.
• Provide daily on-call support for any inpatient application-related issues as necessary.
• Inform clinical and operational stakeholders about system issues, enhancements, and workflow modifications.
• Review software releases and new products, recommending process optimizations and cost reductions.
• Manage smaller projects or components of projects and coordinate implementation planning surrounding application releases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and end users to facilitate application integration.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Epic Inpatient applications within a healthcare setting.
• Certification in Epic Inpatient Procedure Orders is mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Clinical Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant Epic Inpatient experience is accepted if accompanied by a Bachelor’s degree in lieu of degree requirements.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant Epic Inpatient experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
• Comprehensive understanding of inpatient clinical workflows, including nursing, provider documentation, orders, and patient care processes.
• Experience in hospital and patient care environments.
• Familiarity with Epic Inpatient builds, enhancements, and workflow optimization.
• Proven experience in system testing, validation, and documentation.
• Experience with clinical decision support is advantageous.
• Key certification or credential relevant to the supported systems or applications is required.
