This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.
• Oversee and direct a team of IT support personnel.
• Establish and define IT service-level expectations across various countries in the Asia Pacific region.
• Manage and deliver IT support for all manufacturing and business sites in Asia Pacific, catering to a user base of approximately 400 individuals.
• Ensure sufficient IT support coverage at all locations through a mix of remote assistance and in-person visits.
• Partner with business stakeholders to collect and document IT requirements.
• Stay informed about corporate IT initiatives and serve as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance of corporate IT systems with regulatory requirements specific to countries and regions.
• Plan and oversee the IT budget for operations in the Asia Pacific region.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an IT-related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 5 years managing a distributed team of IT support staff.
• At least 3 years of experience in managing IT equipment leasing contracts, along with an understanding of the Lease vs Buy trade-offs.
• Excellent stakeholder influencing, team management, and communication skills in a multinational and multicultural setting.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements across the Asia Pacific region.
• Familiarity with the IT equipment lifecycle in a predominantly remote work environment.
• Over 10 years of practical experience in troubleshooting IT systems and services, preferably in organizations with centralized IT services and geographically dispersed offices.
• More than 10 years of direct experience supporting IT hardware (laptops, servers, printers, switches, Audio/Visual equipment, CCTV, barcode scanners, etc.), particularly in a manufacturing context.
• Over 10 years of hands-on experience with M365 applications (Office, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (client & server).
• At least 3 years of experience with networking principles and devices (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, etc.), with a preference for expertise in HP Aruba and Fortinet.
• Strong foundational knowledge of Telecommunication technology (WAN connectivity, SIP trunks, Session Border Control devices, VoIP, Mobile services, etc.).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Hyper-V based virtualization.
• Experience with Dell hardware (laptops and servers) and Dell equipment sourcing.
• Understanding of cloud-based applications and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
• Ability to communicate in other languages relevant to Axcelis operating locations, such as Korean, Chinese, and Japanese, is a plus.
