IT Infrastructure Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee the Infrastructure team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.

• Create and implement the enterprise infrastructure roadmap that aligns with business goals and growth strategies.

• Take ownership of infrastructure capacity planning, lifecycle management, and refresh strategies for network and server/compute environments.

• Establish and maintain infrastructure monitoring and observability across network, server, and database environments.

• Supervise database administration tasks including backup and recovery, performance tuning, patch management, and query optimization.

• Design and uphold resilient, highly available server and network solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments.

• Manage relationships with infrastructure vendors, oversee hardware procurement, maintenance contracts, and managed service providers.

• Define and enforce infrastructure standards, policies, and documentation.

• Collaborate with Information Security to establish infrastructure security standards, address vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance.

• Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including RTO/RPO objectives and testing protocols.

• Support and secure operational technology infrastructure alongside Manufacturing and Engineering teams.

• Propel infrastructure automation initiatives.

• Lead infrastructure projects from initial scoping to final delivery.

• Provide support for on-call escalations regarding critical infrastructure issues and establish escalation procedures for the team.

• Offer supporting infrastructure for enterprise applications and ERP platforms like Sage X3.

• Manage standardized BOMs and deployment standards for new construction projects and site upgrades.

• Direct the endpoint architecture and management strategy, encompassing lifecycle, imaging, provisioning, MDM, patching, updates, and endpoint security.

• Lead involvement in Corporate Responsibility initiatives.

• Carry out food safety responsibilities and other assigned tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 5 or more years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role; or 3 or more years of experience with an advanced degree.

• Extensive expertise in enterprise network design and administration, including routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, and SD-WAN/ZTNA.

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft server technologies, including Windows Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, SQL Server, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure, including Azure networking and hybrid connectivity.

• Proven track record of managing projects focused on scalability, resilience, and maintainability.

• Experience with storage area network (SAN) devices is preferred.

• Background in Manufacturing organizations and operational technology (OT) environments is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop technical staff while effectively communicating infrastructure strategies to senior leadership.

• Supervisory responsibilities are required.
