This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead and oversee IT infrastructure in both on-premises and Azure cloud settings.
• Ensure optimal availability, performance, and security of all infrastructure and services.
• Manage and enhance cloud and on-premises environments, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and policies.
• Administer and monitor Linux and Windows servers, databases, and CI/CD systems.
• Supervise security measures, IAM (Azure AD, MFA, RBAC), and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
• Maintain strategies for disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup.
• Provide user assistance for workstation configurations, software provisioning, and IT tools.
• Implement DevOps and SRE methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
• Lead initiatives for cloud cost optimization, automation projects, and resource efficiency.
• Manage monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana).
• Collaborate closely with developers to support microservices environments utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.
• Own IT operations policies, processes, and ITIL-aligned service management practices.
• Proficient in professional English, both written and spoken.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with strong expertise in Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400) are highly preferred.
• Advanced skills in Linux administration and Bash scripting applied in production environments.
• Extensive knowledge of VMware vSphere and virtualization technologies.
• Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking, including firewalls (NGFW), VPNs, and routing (BGP/OSPF).
• Practical experience in deploying and maintaining Docker and Kubernetes in production settings.
• Solid experience in database administration: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB.
• Experience in managing monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana).
• Proven skills in troubleshooting and incident management with a focus on uptime and reliability.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Strong understanding of cloud security, data protection, backup, and patching processes.
• Familiarity with ITIL operations and compliance with ISO, SOC 2, and GDPR frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in driving cross-functional initiatives within SaaS or software environments.
