This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Maintain and operate corporate Linux environments as well as customer environments.
• Address security vulnerabilities in accordance with internal protocols and best practices.
• Implement patches and security updates for Linux operating systems and associated services.
• Analyze, manage, and monitor incidents, problems, and security/infrastructure alerts.
• Work collaboratively with Information Security, Monitoring, and other teams to mitigate risks and address incidents.
• Manage services and applications hosted on Linux servers.
• Execute operational routines along with preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Document and communicate activities effectively, ensuring a history and traceability of actions.
• Engage with customers, internal teams, and vendors to address technical requests.
• Coordinate with support teams following established processes.
• Participate in on-call rotations as necessary.
• Collaborate with monitoring and customer support teams.
• Monitor consoles and react to alert events.
• Adjust hardware resources on virtual servers as needed.
• Inform the team about actions taken.
• Take part in team communication discussions.
• Respond to telephone inquiries.
• Proven experience in managing corporate Linux environments.
• Background in critical and high-availability environments.
• Proficiency in vulnerability remediation, hardening, and patch management.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
• Experience providing N2 or N3 technical support.
• Familiarity with various Linux distributions, particularly RHEL, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux, Oracle Linux, or CentOS.
• Knowledge of Apache, NGINX, SSH, Samba, NFS, and BIND (DNS) administration.
• Understanding of package management tools such as YUM/DNF/APT and patch management.
• Familiarity with systemd and cron.
• Experience in managing users, groups, permissions, ACLs, and Linux file systems.
• Knowledge of LVM, disk mounting, and storage management.
• Understanding of VMware vSphere/ESXi.
• Familiarity with Zabbix or similar monitoring solutions.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting (Bash).
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls, and SSH.
• Knowledge of Linux server hardening and security best practices.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Qualys, or Nessus is advantageous.
• A Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Additional courses in Linux, Information Security, Shell Scripting, or Virtualization are beneficial.
• Certifications like RHCSA, LPIC-1/LPIC-2, LFCS, and ITIL Foundation are preferred; RHCE and security certifications are differentiators.
