IT Infrastructure Analyst (Mid-level)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee virtualization environments, including VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, or similar technologies.

• Manage Windows and Linux servers, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.

• Track capacity and performance metrics for virtualized environments and operating systems.

• Carry out provisioning, configuration, and maintenance tasks for both physical and virtual servers.

• Apply patches, updates, and security fixes within your designated environments.

• Diagnose and conduct root cause analysis for incidents related to virtualization and operating systems.

• Administer clusters, hosts, virtual machines, and compute resources.

• Implement security policies, system hardening, and compliance measures.

• Automate operational tasks utilizing PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

• Document procedures, configurations, operational standards, and technical architectures.

• Assist with migration, upgrade, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

• Integrate virtualization environments with storage, backup, monitoring, and cloud systems.

• Engage in disaster recovery and business continuity testing.

• Collaborate with teams across networking, storage, backup, cloud, and information security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress in fields such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.

• Proven experience in managing corporate virtualization environments.

• Familiarity with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, or equivalent platforms.

• Experience with administering Windows Server and Linux systems.

• Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and Microsoft infrastructure services.

• Knowledge of user management, permissions, services, and Linux operating systems.

• Experience in troubleshooting servers and virtualized environments.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, SAN/NAS storage, and high availability concepts.

• Experience in infrastructure monitoring and incident management.

• Preferred/Plus: Experience in critical high-availability environments; knowledge of HCI; background in modernization and migration projects; a collaborative, analytical, and problem-solving approach; interest in automation and continuous improvement; familiarity with VMware and OpenStack; knowledge of VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, and Storage vMotion; experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu Server, or SUSE Linux; knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible; experience in monitoring and observability; familiarity with Microsoft Azure or AWS; experience with enterprise backup solutions; knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Desired certifications: VCP-DCV; Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate; RHCSA; AZ-104; AWS Cloud Practitioner or equivalent; ITIL Foundation.
