IT Disaster Recovery Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop an enterprise DR governance framework that includes policy, standards, controls, and RACI matrix.

• Create a risk-based testing methodology along with a frequency model.

• Specify the “what, how, and evidence” requirements for DR testing.

• Establish an annual DR testing plan and coverage model.

• Implement a governance cadence that includes quarterly reviews and approvals.

• Monitor execution and verify results.

• Define procedures for DR issue logging, severity classification, SLA, and remediation tracking.

• Set up a centralized issue tracking system.

• Generate auditable evidence and reporting.

• Assist in meeting NY DFS and internal audit attestation requirements.

• Construct an integrated data model and deploy a Power Platform solution for tracking test coverage and results.

• Ensure audit traceability and reporting.

• Create executive dashboards.

• Supervise the planning and management of daily project tasks and budgets.

• Implement organizational governance structures.

• Collaborate with business and IT partners in the immediate environment to promote commitment and teamwork while addressing specific customer challenges (escalation).

• Work alongside the business unit to identify critical business needs and organize the necessary resources.

• Oversee the delivery of large-scale projects for the business, including risk, quality, and change management, along with schedule and financial management of system dependencies.

• Responsible for evaluating and authorizing work requests, developing and submitting work orders, and reviewing cost estimates from suppliers.

• Accountable for defining Acceptance Criteria and executing Acceptance Testing at the program level.

• Manage project-level planning, monitoring, and reporting on project performance.

• Approve project deliverables.

• Conduct internal project closure.

• Carry out Post-Implementation Reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT disaster recovery program management.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent relevant experience.

• Proficiency in English.

• ISO 27031 Certification is a plus.
